Getting Started
How to Navigate HelloAG
The HelloAG platform is organised around four pillars, each containing a set of operational modules. Every journey begins at helloagriculture.com, where you select your role. The platform then adapts to show you the pillars and modules most relevant to your work.
Within the platform, navigate using the sidebar on the left (all modules) or return to the homepage to switch between pillars. On mobile or tablet, the sidebar collapses — tap the menu icon to expand it.

The central command view for Jamaica's food supply. Five live KPI cards — Food Security Index, Tourism Demand Score, Active Supply Risk Events, Commodity Volatility Index, and National ABRS — plus a 12-week FSI trend chart, parish supply heat map, and live alert feed.
What the five KPI cards mean

How to use it

Check the FSI first — if it is below 65, conditions are stressed and the alert feed below will show you why.

Review active supply risk events in the right panel. Each row shows commodity, parish, severity level, and trend direction. Click any row to see details.

Read the 12-week trend chart — a rising FSI line with a declining supply risk line (red dashed) means conditions are improving. Both lines moving together in the same direction indicates a systematic stress event.

Use the parish heat map to identify geographic concentration of risk. Darker red = higher supply stress in that parish.

How to use it

Click any parish to open the parish intelligence sidebar — showing production overview, registered farm count, active commodity prices, and ABRS average for that parish.

Click St. Mary for the most complete data — this is the pilot parish with the first full farmer cohort enrolled.

Toggle "TAII Supply Intelligence" to see the supply gap map. Red shading identifies where your hotel sourcing opportunity is highest.
Current and forecast weather conditions for Jamaica's agricultural parishes, sourced from JMetS. Includes an Agronomic Risk Score — a composite of temperature, rainfall, and humidity that indicates crop stress risk for the coming week.

Agronomic Risk Score — Green (0–30): low stress. Amber (31–60): moderate — consider irrigation. Red (61–100): high stress — alert extension agents.

Climate risk monitoring modules. Hurricane Monitor tracks NHC-sourced track data for active storms in the Caribbean basin and projects impact on agricultural production zones. El Niño Alert tracks NOAA ONI index and flags drought risk periods for Jamaican parishes.
Action trigger
When the Hurricane Monitor shows a system within 72 hours of Jamaica, activate the Sentinel broadcast protocol — notify all registered farmers in the projected impact parishes immediately.

HelloAG Connect
The transaction and supply chain layer. Connects verified farmers to hotels, exporters, and local markets through the TAII Tourism Bridge, marketplace, POS, dispatch, and CRM — with GS1-traceable records at every step.

The Tourism Agricultural Intelligence Infrastructure bridge. Hotel procurement managers enter occupancy forecasts, receive a localised produce list matched to available registered farmers in their supply radius, and place forward contracts or spot bids — all within a single interface.
Hotel procurement workflow

Enter your occupancy forecast for the target period and select your commodity requirements. The system calculates estimated volume needs.

Review matched suppliers — each farmer is shown with their ABRS score, GAP certification status, distance from your property, and available volume.

Place a bid or forward contract — forward contracts lock price and delivery date. Spot bids are for immediate available lots.

Track delivery — once confirmed, the order moves to Delivery Dispatch automatically.
TAII Goal
The tourism sector imports 32% of its food requirements. Every TAII transaction replaces one imported order with a verified Jamaican farmer supply — traceable from farm to kitchen.
A B2B produce exchange where registered farmers list available lots and verified buyers (hotels, exporters, processors) place bids. Listings show commodity, grade, volume, price, parish, and ABRS score of the supplying farm.
For farmers — how to list produce

Select New Listing. Enter commodity, grade, available weight (kg), asking price per kg, and available collection date.

Your HAG-ID and ABRS score are automatically attached to the listing — buyers see your farm rating before bidding.

When a buyer submits a bid, you receive a WhatsApp notification. Accept or counter-offer directly from your phone.
A digital point-of-sale for farm-gate transactions. Records sales by commodity, volume, buyer, and price. Generates JAMAICAN GCT-compliant receipts. Each sale automatically updates the farm's Market Linkages ABRS pillar score.

New Farmer tab — enter full name, National ID, phone number (WhatsApp-enabled), and GPS location (tap Map to auto-capture).

Farm Details — farm size (hectares), parish, RADA registration number (if applicable), GAP certification status.

Enterprises — list all active enterprises (crops, livestock). Each enterprise added improves the Production Capacity ABRS pillar.

Submit — HAG-ID is generated immediately. Farmer receives WhatsApp confirmation with their ID and initial ABRS score.

Shows a farmer's Agricultural Business Readiness Score — a 0–100 composite rating built from five independently scored pillars. The score determines access to credit, contracts, and institutional buyers. It updates in real time as platform activity increases.

Calculates the full cost of production per enterprise — inputs (seed, fertiliser, labour, water), overhead, transport, and target margins — producing a cost-per-kilogram baseline. Compared against current market prices to show whether a crop is profitable to grow right now.
How extension agents use COPI

Select the enterprise (e.g. hot pepper, callaloo). The engine loads average input costs for Jamaica based on RADA and supplier data.

Adjust inputs for the specific farm (acreage, irrigation type, labour model). The cost-per-kg updates in real time.

Compare against market price — the current AMIB price for that commodity is shown alongside the COPI baseline. If market price is below COPI cost, the crop is unprofitable at current inputs.

Share the COPI report with the farmer as a planting decision tool. The report is exportable as PDF.

A structured query interface for the HelloAG price database. Select commodity, parish, date range, and metric type — the system returns a chart and table of results drawn from the live Supabase database of 186,000+ price records. Designed for data analysis without requiring SQL knowledge.
Why structured queries, not free-text AI
Ask the Data uses structured dropdown queries rather than AI-generated responses because the data coverage has known gaps — approximately 99% of price records do not have parish-level tagging yet. Structured queries make it clear what data is available rather than generating plausible-looking numbers that may not be supported by the actual dataset.
Generates RADA compliance reports, monthly grant disbursement summaries, ABRS cohort progress reports, and market linkage impact assessments. Reports are generated on-demand and export as PDF or CSV.

HelloAG unique farmer identity. Format: HAG-[COUNTRY]-[SEQUENCE]. Example: HAG-JM-001008. Permanent and portable.
MRL
Maximum Residue Level — RADA's pesticide residue threshold for agricultural produce. Sentinel classification checks MRL status on all pest incidents.
RADA
Rural Agricultural Development Authority — Jamaica. Primary institutional partner for ABRS compliance data and AMIB price reports.
TAII
Tourism Agricultural Intelligence Infrastructure — the HelloAG Connect module linking hotel procurement to registered local farmers.
TDS
